Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a political gathering that "I was in Kiryat Shmona on Thursday and I hope that the calm that had been violated after six years would last for another 16," adding that "UN Security Council Resolution 1701 has yet to be implemented and Hizbullah continues to arm itself".
Barak commented on the negotiations with Syria, stating that they should be direct and conducted behind closed doors. (Attila Somfalvi)
