IDF soldier indicted for raping 17-year-old girl
Soldier suspected of sodomizing, raping teenage girl at construction site near Ashkelon beach
An indictment was filed with the Beersheba District Court on Sunday against a 19-year-old IDF soldier from northern Israel who is suspected of raping, sodomizing and threatening a 17-year-old girl he had met on the Internet.
During his interrogation the soldier said he had consensual sexual relations with the girl. The prosecution asked the court to extend the soldier's remand until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
About a week-and-a-half ago, the soldier and the girl met in person at Ashkelon's central bus station and then walked to the beach. According to the indictment, while at the beach the accused fondled the girl's breasts, at which point she told him she was not interested in any sexual contact.
The soldier allegedly told her that he would not harm her and then led her to a nearby construction site.
Upon entering the site, the indictment said, the soldier threw the girl down on the floor and forced her top perform oral sex on him and then raped her despite her pleas.
