Olmert: Future of Israel not in W. Bank
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Wednesday that Israel's future is not tied to the West Bank.
"We have invested resources and thought in 'how to build up Judea and Samaria'. History has showed that Israel has other, more realistic and feasible options. The future of Israel will not come from mixing with the Palestinians (in the West Bank), but rather by investing in currently unpopulated areas of the state (the Negev)," said Olmert during a tour of a student community in the Negev.
