Israel’s top young fashion designers were in Boston on Thursday as part of Boston Fashion Week 2008, providing a sneak peek at their newest styles and jewelry.

“Get Stylin’ with the Hottest Israeli Designers,” was sponsored by Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Consulate General of Israel to New England.

The event, hosted in Boston's prestigious State Room, featured up and coming designers Hadas Tzur, Michael Fadlon for Mikusha, Liat Zarmon, Hagar Satat, My Black Dress by Shenkar and Maya Meirav.

Nadav Tamir, the consul general of Israel to New England, stated that the purpose of the event is to present Israeli fashion to a wider audience through Israeli young and successful designers and to show that Israel is “on the map” when it comes to fashion and culture.

Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is the central planning and fundraising arm of Boston's Jewish community, representing almost 250,000 people and supporting a network of more than 200 agencies, schools, synagogues and programs in Greater Boston, Israel and abroad.
