According to statistics published by the Jewish Agency prior to Rosh Hashana 2008; 7,750,000 Jews live in the Diaspora. There are 1.5 million intermarriage families in North America.
Jewish Agency Chairman Zeev Bielski said that “the danger of assimilation hovers over the Jewish nation. The Jewish agency is acting and will enhance its effort to deepen Jewish education in communities around the world.” (Yael Branovsky)
