IDF soldiers stationed near the Cave of Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron, foiled a stabbing attack on Thursday afternoon.
The soldiers found a 15-inch knife on a Palestinian attempting to cross through the checkpoint.
The man was arrested and turned over to security forces' custody for further questioning.
This was the second stabbing attack thwarted inthe area in the past few weeks: Earlier in October, Border Guard officers stationed at the Cave of Patriarchs' checkpoint prevented a 16-year old Palestinian teen from assaulting worshippers in the cave with a knife.
