Livni to represent Israel at Quartet meeting in Egypt

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni will represent Israel in a conference for the Quartet foreign ministers next Sunday at Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt. The conference will take place a year after the Annapolis Summit.
A governmental source has said that it is still unclear who will represent the Palestinians there, Former Palestinian Prime Minister and chief negotiator Ahmed Qureia or Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. A Livni associate has emphasized that the foreign minister will present the situation before the Quartet representatives alone and that there is no intention of presenting a combined document from both sides.
