Ramallah: Construction of Yasser Arafat museum underway

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas broke ground Wednesday on a new museum to be built in the Mukataa compound in the West Bank city of Ramallah, in honor of his predecessor Yasser Arafat.

Palestinian sources said that the construction of the museum will take some 18 months and that it will house books and movies about Arafat, as well as some of his personal belongings. (AP)
