Foreign Affairs Minister Tzipi Livni asserted on Tuesday that the ties between guerilla organizations in South America and terror operatives in Iran are growing stronger. Livni raised her concerns during a meeting with visiting El Salvadoran Foreign Minister Marisol Argueta de Barillas.
"Iran is looking for cracks it can get through to compensate for the effect of the sanctions. We are witnessing a worrying phenomenon, where the Iranian regime has penetrated South America to the extent where Latin America has become a comfortable case of operations for Iran on an ideological, political and economic level," said Livni.
