Olmert lauds Hebron house eviction

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert lauded Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi and the IDF and police forces for the "swift and efficient" eviction of the disputed house in the West Bank city of Hebron.

Olmert added that the government "will not let anything hinder democracy or the rule of law. Any attempt made by violent element, trying to instigate violence against the Palestinian population, will be met with a harsh and immediate response." (Attila Somfalvi)
