BBC rejects Iran's spy allegations

None

The British Broadcasting Corporation rejected allegations voiced by Iranian Parliamentary Committee member Muhammad Karim Abadi, who said BBC employees in Iran were spies sanctioned by the British Embassy.

An official BBC statement said the company completely rejected the "baseless allegations". The statement continued to say, "BBC reporters' job is to supply news and commentary in a objective manner – and nothing more." (Dana Zimerman)
