In the Ehskol Regional Council, in the western Negev, educational institutions will remain closed Sunday. Residents in communities within 4.5 km distance of Gaza were asked to remain in shelters. The ultra-Orthodox schools in Netivot will also remain closed.
Some schools were opened in the Sdot Negev Regional Council, but these included only the Saad and Alumim kibbutzim schools, which have sufficient fortifications. (Ilana Curiel)
