UN council debate on Gaza ends without vote

A UN Security Council debate on Wednesday on the violence in Gaza ended without a vote on a draft resolution presented by Libya calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants.
Diplomats said negotiations would be held in coming days to try to reach an agreed text. Western delegates described the Arab-drafted resolution as unbalanced in its present form. (Reuters)
