Kadima MK Ben-Israel: Gaza op to restore deterrence

Knesset Member Isaac Ben-Israel (Kadima) praised Defense Minister Ehud Barak during the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting for his handling of Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip.

"The combination of aerial power with a meticulously planned ground incursion and a remarkable implementation by the IDF will restore deterrence and allow Israel to dictate the conditions for a ceasefire," he said. (Attila Somfalvi)
