The players on Israeli basketball team Bnei Hasharon have fled to their changing room after angry protests by hundreds of Turkish fans ahead of a European Cup game against Turkish club Turk Telekom.
About 1,500 policemen are trying to evacuate the Ataturk sports arena Tuesday to prevent violence. The fans are chanting "God is Great" and "Death to Jews" and waving fists. A pro-Islamic group earlier set an Israeli flag on fire outside the arena. (AP)
