UN receives $30 million for Gaza aid work

The United Nations has received about $30 million in new emergency funds for the beleaguered Gaza Strip.
UN documents published Wednesday on the Web show the US government has so far contributed the highest amount at $5 million for humanitarian work in the Israel-besieged Palestinian territory. A further $32 million has been pledged but not yet received from various donors. (AP)
