4 Qassams land in Negev

Rockets land in open areas in Sha'ar Hanegev, Eshkol regional councils. No injures reported. Meanwhile, IDF continues Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, hitting over 30 gunmen, 60 targets overnight

On the 18th day of Operation Cast Lead, Qassam rockets continue to fall on Israel.

 

Two Qassams exploded in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council Tuesday morning. No injuries or damage were reported.

 

Around 8:15 am a Color Red siren was sounded in the Gaza vicinity, and was immediately followed by the loud blasts of the explosions. Both rockets landed in open areas.

 

By 10 pm, two more rockets had fallen within the Eshkol Regional Council, causing no damage or injuries.

 

Around midnight Monday, two Qassam rockets fell in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council. No one was injured and no damage was caused.

 

Several hours earlier, mortar shells were fired on an open area in the Sdot Negev Regional Council, again causing no damage or injures.

 

A rocket exploded in Beersheba Monday evening as well.

 

Meanwhile, the IDF continues to operation in the Gaza Strip. Overnight troops struck over 30 gunmen and uncovered two booby-trapped tunnels in the outskirts of Gaza City.

 

The Israel Air Force also hit some 60 targets, including a hotel in which terror activity was spotted, and 15 tunnels on the Philadelphi route.
