Military says shelled UN compound used to fire antitank missiles at IDF
Defense establishment officials claimed that Palestinians fired from the UNRWA compound before it was hit by the IDF. Military officials confirmed that such an assault was carried out, but claimed that it was in response to antitank missiles fired at troops from the area.
Earlier, the UN and Palestinian sources reported that the IDF shelled the compound leading to several injuries. (Hanan Greenberg)
