Limited cabinet's discussion on Gaza concludes

The limited cabinet – which includes Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni – has concluded its meeting. Livni is now preparing for her visit to Washington in order to sign an outlined agreement with the Americans.

The diplomatic-security discussions are expected to continue into the night. State officials did not say whether Israel plans to accept the Egyptian initiative for a ceasefire in Gaza. (Roni Sofer)
