Egypt police detain hundreds of Brotherhood members

Egyptian police detained at least 350 members of the Muslim Brotherhood after the latter held a large anti-Israel protest in Cairo, the group and security officials said on Sunday.  It was the largest round-up of members of the Islamist group in recent months.

One security source estimated 620 of the group's members had been detained on Saturday and Sunday, and said they were being held on suspicion of inciting demonstrations and membership of an illegal organization. (Reuters)
