Olmert: Response to Kisufim attack will come

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said, "The IDF's response today was an operational one," Olmert said. "This is not a response to an incident in which an IDF soldier was killed and three injured. The Israeli response to this incident will come."

He added, "We didn't say the ceasefire was fragile for nothing. It's not for nothing that an order for a unilateral ceasefire was given. Israel did not sign an agreement with Hamas, but decided to cease its fire unilaterally. This allows us the military maneuvering space to respond to such incidents." (Roni Sofer)
