Arab rights group head suspected of assaulting police
Jafar Farah, director of the Mossawa Center - the Advocacy Center for Arab Citizens in Israel – was arrested for suspicion of assaulting police officers during a rally held outside a conference in Haifa that hosted Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Liberman.
The demonstrators denied Farah had attacked the officers and said he was only protesting the fact that police allowed right-wing activists to enter the hall. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
