Delegation of US senators arrives in Syria, to meet with Assad
A delegation of US senators arrived in Damascus on Tuesday, and is expected to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad, UN officials confirmed.
The delegation, led by Senator Benjamin Cardin, will discuss the relationship between America and Syria and touch on the ongoing peace process in the region, as well as recent political developments. (AFP)
