Senator Kerry, Assad meet in Damascus
US Senator John Kerry met with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus, state officials said.
Kerry's Mideast tour included visits to Israel, Lebanon and Gaza, where he was handed a letter drafted by Hamas AND addressed to President Barack Obama. (AP)
