Peres to EU: Europe deceiving Palestinians
President Shimon Peres met Tuesday morning with the The President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering to brief him on the difficulties facing Israel.
During the meeting, Peres leveled criticism at the EU's management of the Palestinian issue, saying, "Europe and the international community, by expressing compassion for the situation in Gaza and compassion for Hamas' acts of terror, is not helping to improve the situation, but is deceiving the Palestinians."
