Netanyahu refuses to commit to two-state solution; Livni ends meeting

Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said after her meeting with Prime Minister-designate Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, "I came for a second meeting with the Likud chairman, in order to hear what vision and path he sees fit.

"I told Netanyahu that Kadima would support right moves made by the government. Unity is not just sitting in the government, but partnership in the path." Livni said that she ended the meeting after Netanyahu refused to commit to the two-state solution. "Two states is not an empty slogan – it's the only way Israel can remain Jewish and operate against terror. It's an important issue," she said. (Attila Somfalvi)
