Precedent: Gay couple to adopt their son after 14 years
Ramat Gan Family Court made an unprecedented ruling when it authorized that the gay couple Dr. Amit Kama and Prof. Uzi Even to adopt Yossi Even-Kama, today 30 years old, for whom they have served as family for years, making them the first same-sex couple allowed to adopt in Israel.
The Kama-Even couple took in Yossi in 1995 when he was thrown out of his family's home when he revealed to them he is a homosexual. (Vered Luvitch)
