Madagascar opposition gives president 4 hours to quit

Madagascar's opposition leader Andry Rajoelina told thousands of his supporters in the capital on Saturday he was giving President Marc Ravalomanana four hours to resign.

"There is only one demand, that's the departure of Ravalomanana," Rajoelina said. "We will wait four hours. I, Andry Rajoelina, am ready to carry out the democratic handover of power ... I am going to go to Iavoloha (presidential palace) to say goodbye to him." (Reuters)
