Official: Iran can forget US 'hasty behavior'

Iran has shown it can forget "hasty behavior" but is awaiting practical US steps, a senior Iranian official said on Friday after US President Barack Obama issued an unprecedented videotaped appeal to the country.

"The Iranian nation has shown that it can forget hasty behavior but we are awaiting practical steps by the United States," Aliakbar Javanfekr, an aide to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, told Reuters. He did not elaborate. (Reuters)
