Qassam lands south of Ashkelon

Rocket lands within Ashkelon Coast Regional Council limits; no injuries or damage reported
Shmulik Hadad |
A Qassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed near a community in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council on Tuesday, after 10 days without rockets. No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.
Security forces began canvassing the area in a bid to recover the rocket. None of the armed Palestinian groups has claimed responsibility for the shooting.
The last rocket barrage on the Negev took place on March 14.
Approximately 100 rockets and mortar shells have been fired at the western Negev since Operation cast Lead ended.
Meanwhile, a large number of educational institutions in Ashkelon remain unfortified, while others lack sufficient protected areas.
