Israel will be switching to daylight savings time in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Daylight Savings Act (DST) was passed in 1992, but was not fully implemented until 2005. In accordance with the letter of the law, Israel now inducts DST every year at 2 am, on the last Friday before April 2.

Therefore, at 2 am on Friday, the time must be reset one hour forward, to 3 am.

Daylight savings time in Israel is expected to end on September 27, 2009, lasting a total of 184 days. The length of Israel's daylight savings time changes slightly every year, to compensate for the differences between the Gregorian calendar and the Jewish one.
