3 days of drums, beats, and dance

Second Janana Festival promises to have everything you look for if you love drums, beats, dancing, and world music

And the beat goes on: After the first Janana Festival, held in April 2008 at the Desert Ashram, took its place in the public mind as one of the best and most experience-filled festivals in the country, the second Janana Festival will be arriving this year to Kibbutz Inbar.

Janana 2 promises to be as diverse, successful, and fun as last year's festival, and has everything you look for if you love drums, beats, dancing, and world music.

For three days, right after Independence Day, the pristine Galilee air will be filled with the beating of drums and rhythmic music. Drum and motion workshops, meditation, performances, jam sessions, and drum circles.

Also, a gripping sensation that organizers say "is sure to rock you to your core": a shamanic ritual featuring the "Grandmother Drum" – one of the largest drums in the world, over two meters in diameter, which comes from Alaska and travels the world to bring love and healing to the world through its deep sound.

What else is planned?

  • George Samaan:

One of the most captivating musicians, born in the Galilee region, who has played alongside Ehud Banai, Micha Shitrit, the hit band Seven, and Mosh Ben-Ari. In his music, George spreads a message of coexistence through sound and the intertwining of East and West.

  • Balakan:

One of the best groups playing happy Balkan music, which will transport the audience to a gypsy wedding, a la Kusturica.

  • Adamaduma:
