Egyptian official says Israel committed crimes against humanity

Egyptian Parliament Speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour sent a harsh response to the letter sent by Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin to the parliament heads on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
In his letter Sorour wrote: "We share with you in the grief over this unfortunate historic event," but stressed "the crimes against humanity" he said were committed by Israel over the years. Sorour noted the killing of Palestinians during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, which he said "the Israeli war machine" was responsible for. (Amnon Meranda)
