The Mufti of Jerusalem Mohammad Hussein Benedict XVI called Tuesday a "play an active role to put an end to "aggression" Israel against the Palestinians during the visit of the pope on the esplanade mosque.
"We want an active role for your holiness to end the aggression against our people, our land and our holy places, Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank," said the mufti by reading a letter that was delivered to Pope. (AFP)
