Egyptian sources told the Lebanese newspaper Almustaqbal that, some five months ago, Egyptian authorities arrested four members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards who set up an intelligence ring on Egyptian soil.
According to the report, the four were sent by the Revolutionary Guards' al-Quds unit. The sources also said Egyptian authorities chose not to make the story public or have the suspects brought before a judge out of concern for the fate of six Egyptian citizens who have been abducted by Iranian militias in Iraq.
