Hungary launches Hebrew tourism website
National Tourist Office in Israel opens official website targeting Israeli tourists. Site includes information on Jewish museums, synagogues, and even kosher restaurants
The Hungarian National Tourist Office in Israel inaugurated its new Hebrew-language website targeting Israeli tourists planning to visit the eastern European country.
According to the office, the website is part of the Hungarian Tourism Ministry's increased efforts to encourage Israeli tourism.
The new site features basic information on vacationing in Hungary, including spa resorts and extreme sports.
The site also has information on recommended travel spots outside of the capital Budapest, and useful information on transportation, car rentals and a hotel search engine.
A section of the website is dedicated to the Jewish sites, and provides a list of synagogues, museums, and even kosher restaurants – all in Budapest.
Information on festivals and music events held in the country is also available, as is information for tourist industry professionals.
Most sections in the website provide only basic information, and some of its pages appear only in the English language.
