Several rabbis who have gathered in Mitzpe Assaf, an illegal outpost near the settlement of Beit El, called on the government not to dismantle the 26 outposts in the West Bank.
The rabbis warned that taking such action would deepen the schism between the public and the military. "It's inconceivable that a soldier or police officer would take part in this immoral act," the rabbis said, asserting that this was against the Torah and that the government's actions were tantamount to "abuse."
