Jazz superstar to perform in Israel
Described as one of the great jazz vocalists of our time, Kansas City born Deborah Brown will be visiting Israel for two concerts on June 12 and June 13 to be held at the Azrieli Center Amphitheater in Tel Aviv
Deborah Brown has made a name for herself in more than 50 countries throughout the world, performing in nightclubs, concerts, jazz festivals, television and radio. In addition she has made many recordings.
The talented superstar promotes the art of jazz by performing and recording her interpretations of classical standards and fresh original compositions, always expanding the boundaries of musical possibility to enhance the performance of her musical colleagues and associates.
Some of Deborah Brown’s more memorable musical moments include a duet recording with trombonist Slide Hampton. She also recalls with pride a ten concert tour with master pianist Roger Kellaway.
Recording for the Dutch TV special production for UNICEF, she was chosen to perform with Audrey Hepburn and Roger Moore. A studio recording of the CD ‘A Lover’s Question’ with author James Baldwin was yet another memorable moment for the talented jazz singer.
In April 2005, Deborah Brown was a guest artist in the Israeli Opera Tel-Aviv-Yafo’s special presentation titled ‘Tribute to Ella and Louis’ performed in Tel Aviv.
Israeli audiences will welcome the forthcoming visit to Israel of this exciting jazz super-star for two spectacular concerts.
