Report: Russian forces kill Chechen rebel leader

Russian forces have killed the leader of the Chechen separatist movement, Doku Umarov, Interfax news agency cited an unidentified source in Russian law enforcement agencies as saying on Monday.

Umarov was named leader of the separatist movement in 2006 and Russian-backed Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov has said that Umarov is his main enemy. (Reuters)
