Five additional cases of the H1N1 virus have been confirmed in Israel, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday. Three of those infected recently arrived in Israel from the United States as part of the Taglit-Birthright project. They are currently being treated in isolation at the Sha'are Tzedek and Hadassah Hospitals in Jerusalem.
The two other patients contracted the virus inside Israel. One of them is in isolation in Rambam Hospital in Haifa, the second is an eight-year-old boy who has already been released home. This brings the total number of H1N1 cases in Israel to 68. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
