Mousavi camp asking for permit for peaceful parade
The head of the elections office for defeated, pro-reform candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi sent a letter to the Iranian Interior Ministry on Sunday asking for a permit for Mousavi supporters to hold a peaceful parade in Tehran and other major cities, in protest against the elections process.
According to the reformist-affiliated website that reported this, the ministry has yet to respond. The call for a peaceful parade appears to be an effort by Mousavi to calm his supporters. (Dudi Cohen)
