Netanyahu demands recognition of Israel as Jewish state
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded during his speech at bar Ilan University that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
"A basic condition for the termination of the conflict is honest and public recognition by the Palestinians of Israel as the Jewish people's nation," he said. "We need the Palestinian leadership to get up and say, 'We've had enough of this conflict'." (Roni Sofer)
