Caesarea celebrates 5th anniversary

Caesarea Jazz Festival marks fifth annual festival with tribute to legends of classic jazz; performers will be playing traditional music of New Orleans, Dixieland and Hot Swing

On June 18, 19 and 20 the Caesarea Jazz Festival will conduct its fifth annual festival. Festival Director Menachem Dotan claims it’s a badge of honor for all who have helped to make the Caesarea Jazz Festival a landmark event in the State of Israel.

For three nights the performers will pay tribute to the legends of classic jazz, playing the traditional music of New Orleans, Dixieland and Hot Swing.

On Thursday June 18 the Harry Allen Quartet will be joined by the Four Saxophones to present a concert in honor of the legendary Woody Herman.

On Friday June 19 another great jazz legend, a tribute concert to Benny Goodman will be performed by the International Swing Quintet, while on Saturday June 20 the Chris Barber Jazz and Blues Big Band will celebrate the jazz music of New Orleans and Dixieland.

Menacham Dotan claims that many international jazz artists have approached him expressing interest in performing at the festival.

Jazz at Caesarea Harbor is a unique and historic musical and aesthetic experience. The combination of the special atmosphere, pleasant sea breezes and magnificent sunsets with the numerous bars, restaurants, cafes and art galleries add to the comfort and pleasure of patrons.

The Caesarea Jazz Festival has very special appeal to people of all ages, those who lived during the early days of jazz development and for those who are starting to absorb the fascinating sounds of classical jazz for the first time.

Concerts commence at 6.30 pm on each evening and are held on the Caesarea Harbor Promenade.
