The Jewish Agency is expecting an increase of about 15% in the number of immigrants to Israel in 2009 in comparison with last year. During the summer, 20 flights, organized by the Jewish Agency, carrying some 3,000 Jews from throughout the world will land in Israel.
Director General of the Jewish Agency's Immigration and Absorption Department Eli Cohen said, "There is nothing more exciting than dozens of flights of new immigrants from around the world. We will make all efforts to ensure their successful integration into Israel." (Yael Branovsky)
