Palestinian caught with knife at IDF checkpoint gets 6 months in jail

The Judea Military Court sentenced a 29-year-old Palestinian woman to six months in prison, after convicting her of possession of a knife and an attempt to hurt a soldier at an Israel Defense Forces checkpoint.
During the trial, the Palestinian woman explained that she had arrived at the checkpoint in order to get caught and not in order to carry out an attack. She said she wanted to "take a rest from life" and go to prison. (Hanan Greenberg)
