IDF officials say troops fired mortar shells at Palestinians who shot at them south of the Gaza Strip's Karni Crossing.
At this time, the IDF is unaware of any Palestinian casualties. Earlier, Palestinian sources reported that one woman was killed and several others were wounded in the incident. (Hanan Greenberg)
