Soldiers moderately injured Palestinian woman holding toy gun
A Palestinian was moderately injured by Israel Defense Forces soldiers who fired at her after spotting a suspicious object in her hand near the Bekaot checkpoint, north of the West Bank city of Jericho.
The army said that the soldiers had fired at the lower part of the woman's body, and that it was later revealed that she had been holding a toy gun. The woman was evacuated to an Israeli hospital for medical treatment. (Efrat Weiss)
