Pakistani intelligence officials say suspected US missiles have hit a Taliban target in northwest Pakistan. There was no immediate word on casualties.
The two officials say the attack took place early Friday in South Waziristan. The region is part of the lawless tribal belt along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan where top Taliban and al-Qaeda leaders are believed to be hiding. (AP)
