A mild earthquake registering 3.2 on the Richter Scale was felt in northern Israel Friday evening, mainly in the Nahariya area.
The Geophysical Institute of Israel reported that the quake's epicenter was located in southern Lebanon, west of Metula.
Ynet began receiving reports of the tremor at around 9:20 pm. "I was sitting at my computer when I suddenly felt the floor shaking under me," one Nahariya resident told Ynet. "The quake was felt for a few seconds."
Israel Police and the Magen David Adom emergency services received no reports of injuries or damage.
In April another mild earthquake was felt in northern Israel. Residents from Haifa to Nahariya and Kfar Blum reported feeling the earth move for several seconds. There were no reports of injuries.
About a year ago a moderate quake measuring 5.3 on the Richter magnitude scale was felt across Israel. Its epicenter was recorded in Lebanon. It was one of the most powerful quakes to hit Israel in the past few years.
