The governor of the western Mexican state of Michoacan is asking his half brother to turn himself in to authorities investigating him for alleged links to drug traffickers. Gov. Leonel Godoy says he last saw Julio Godoy Toscano at their father's funeral three weeks ago.
Leonel Godoy urged his half brother to talk to authorities during a radio interview Wednesday. Godoy Toscano, who was elected to Congress earlier this month for the leftist Democratic Revolution Party, is
wanted for alleged links to La Familia drug cartel. Authorities say he sought government protection for the
cartel. (AP)
